Hakeem Jeffries Calls On Republicans To Partner With Democrats To Elect Bi-Partisan Speaker
During a press conference with the House Democrats Friday night, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries referred to the Republican Conference’s nominee for Speaker, Jim Jordan, as "the chairman of the chaos caucus...an extremist extraordinaire." He went on to criticize Rep. Jordan's legislative track record and said Republicans have two choices - to continue to "triple down on the chaos, the dysfunction, and extremism" or "partner with the Democrats on an enlightened path forward."
Many Democrats have joined Jeffries’ call for a bi-partisan candidate with Gen-Z Congressman Maxwell Frost calling on Republican to help elect Jeffries Speaker.
